Biography

Born in Brno, Czechia, Jakub Sládek had his first solo performance with an orchestra at the age of ten. He has since performed as a soloist with the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic, Prague Philharmonia, Janáček Philharmonic, Czech Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and the Brno Philharmonic, among others. He is a prizewinner of numerous competitions and has performed throughout Europe. He has received a Master's degree at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and an Artist Diploma with highest honours at the Guildhall School in London, studying with Ronan O'Hora and Noriko Ogawa. He has attended masterclasses with artists such as Imogen Cooper, Christian Blackshaw, Joanna MacGregor, Cristina Ortiz, Lukáš Vondráček, Andrea Bonatta and Grigory Gruzman.
