Biography

Born in Seoul, Deawon Kim has appeared on numerous prestigious stages, including Sejong Center Chamber Hall in Seoul, Antonio Vivaldi Saal in Wien, Kulturhaus in Aue, Konzerthaus Liebfrauen in Wernigerode, Die Synagoge in Görlitz, and Coselpalais as well as at the Frauenkirche in Dresden. As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras, including Philharmonische Kammerorchester Wernigerode, Dresden Sinfonietta, and Erzgebirgische Philharmonie Aue. He won the Grand-Prix at The Journal of Music Concours, 1st prize at Seoul Philharmonic Music Competition and 1st prize at the International Piano Competition Begegnungen "Romantik" of C. Bechstein Centrum Dresden.
