Mia Pečnik

Biography

Mia Pecnik is a student at the HfMT Köln (Prof. Frölich). She also participates in Talent Master Courses at the University of Music in Brescia. She is the winner of the leading awards for young musicians in Croatia like the Young Musician of the Year chosen by the Zagreb Philharmonic, „Oscar of knowledge” prizes, awarded by the Ministry of education etc. In international competitions she has won more than 80 first and special prizes and she took part in Cleveland Piano Competition, Telekom Beethoven Competition and Paderewski Competition. She has performed with orchestras around 30 times. At the age of 15, she had her debut with the Zagreb Philharmonic and has since recorded a CD with them. She has worked with renowned musicians such as Dang Thai Son, Andrea Bonatta, Piotr Paleczny, Dmitri Alexeev, etc.
